Anonymized data refers to data that is no longer associated with you as a person because all identifiable elements have been removed.
Customer is a subscriber, buyer, contact person or user of our Services, landlord, tenant, contractor or other service provider. The Customer with a contractual relationship with Telia Towers is responsible for ensuring that all contact persons and users are aware of and understand the content of the privacy notice.
Personal data is data that can be directly or indirectly linked to you as a person. The types of personal data we process are described below in the privacy notice.
Services refers to all Telia Towers products and services.
We rent antenna and equipment spaces from our masts, and sell energy. We process personal data related to the provision of these Services.

Directly from you
  • For example, when you do business with us, buy or order our Services and products or register or log in to our Services, visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter, answer a customer satisfaction survey or contact us. We may also collect your personal data if you offer us services as a service provider or rent premises or real estate to us.

  • We process detected data that is generated in connection with the use of the Service within the limits permitted by law, for example when you use our online services or other Services.

  • Information about contracts, complaints, invoicing, credit monitoring, payments and collection, etc.;
  • Data describing the use of Services, contacts and error report information and related recordings, such as a recording of a phone call or a visit to our video-monitored premises;
  • Information obtained from the real estate information register, such as information on legal owners and encumbrances, building and plot information;
  • Payment default information of companies from the credit information register;
  • Telia Towers' Services and portals, such as usernames and passwords (e.g. Extranet );
  • Other information that describes the use of the Service, including personal information that can be collected in connection with internet and mobile browsing with the help of cookies and other similar technologies;
  • Information collected in connection with registration for events, contests and lotteries organized by Telia Towers;

We collect, process and use personal data that we need to conduct our business, provide effective customer service and carry out appropriate commercial activities, including the processing of personal data to anonymize the data.
The processing of personal data is usually based on a contract concluded with us or Telia Towers' legitimate interest in connection with using and providing Services. Telia Towers has a legitimate interest in processing personal data in order to manage the customer relationship and serve our Customers. This enables, for example, targeted marketing and advertising. We may also process personal data on other grounds, such as consent or based on the law.
In all of the situations mentioned above, we process personal data only for the purpose required for the processing and to the extent required by it, and we always take into account the protection of our customers' privacy.
We can combine information collected in connection with different Services to the extent that the information is collected for the same purpose. If the Customer is identifiable, we can combine customer data about him/her with analytical data collected on him/her, so that we can better target our Services to the needs of that Customer.
Telia Towers processes your personal data for the following purposes:
On the basis of a contractual relationship and for the provision of Services
We process personal data in order to provide and produce the Services. Your personal data is processed primarily for the purpose of providing the agreed Service and managing the Customer or contractual relationship, identifying Customers, contact persons and users, processing and delivering orders, invoicing, quality control of the Services and products, credit monitoring, collection, customer service and the correction of various defects and complaints.
The formation of a contractual relationship and/or the provision of the Services to the Customer may require an approved credit decision, which can be made using automatic decision-making. In addition to customer data, company credit data, including the personal credit data of the company's responsible persons, can be processed in the assessment of the company's creditworthiness in situations permitted by law. We also process personal data in Customer communication, such as sending notifications related to the Services and communicating with the Customer in matters related to our Services.
We process personal data to detect technical faults and errors, as well as to ensure the security of all our Services, information systems and communication networks and to test their functionality. If necessary, we can also process personal data in order to detect or prevent abuse and fraud related to the Services. For security reasons, we may also collect information about your use of the Services, such as successful and unsuccessful logins to our Services that require registration.
We can produce statistics for service development or other analytical purposes and, for example, group our customers based on invoicing, customer relationship duration and external classifications.
We process personal data internally for the development and management of our business, the Services and related processes, as well as for quality assurance. Such processing may be necessary, for example, when we analyze delivery processes and related complaints in order to make our delivery process more efficient and thus find a better and faster way to serve our Customers. We also process personal data in order to better understand the needs and wishes of our Customers, for example regarding the features or content of our Services.
On the basis of a legitimate interest
Telia Towers can process your personal data based on a legitimate interest. Telia Towers has a legitimate interest in processing your personal data in, for example, the following situations:
Direct marketing: We process and use both anonymized data and personal data for marketing purposes and to form marketing target groups within the limits permitted by the applicable law. In addition, we can process personal data in order to target our marketing to products and services that are of interest to each of our customers. We do not store outdated or unnecessary data. We strive to ensure that personal data and other customer data is up-to-date and accurate.
Information processed on the basis of a contractual relationship is mainly stored for the duration of the contractual relationship or as long as the delivery of the Services requires it. After the end of the contractual relationship or the provision of the Services, personal data is stored as long as it is needed, for example in connection with unfinished business, invoicing, malfunctions, complaints or warranty periods. As a rule, the retention period is at least three years and at most six years from the end of the contractual relationship.
Data processed based on a legitimate interest is processed as long as the basis for processing exists. If the Customer can object to the processing, the data will be deleted when the Customer's objection has been processed and the objection has been accepted. Such processing within the framework of a legitimate interest can be, for example, direct marketing to the Customer after the end of the contractual relationship.
Information processed in accordance with statutory obligations is processed and stored as long as required by law. Obligations regarding the storage of personal data are stipulated, for example, in accounting or money laundering legislation.
The retention period of data processed based on your consent is determined by the purpose of the processing. However, if you withdraw your consent, we may still have the right or obligation to process personal data for the purposes described above.
